When You’re Ready to Move Forward… How to Trust It

This week, I’ve had a number of people come in who are ready to move forward… they can feel it… they just don’t fully trust it yet.

It’s a very specific place to be.

They’re not searching. They’re not stuck. They’re not trying to figure everything out from the beginning.

In fact, it’s the opposite.

They can feel exactly what’s next.

It’s close. It’s there in a quiet way. It just doesn’t fully make sense yet—and that’s usually where the hesitation comes in.

Not because they don’t know.

But because they start asking themselves:

Is this real?

Can I trust this?

Am I ready to take this step?

So when they come in, they’re not really looking for direction.

They’re looking for confirmation.

I recently worked with a client who was right in this space.

On the surface, everything in his life looked solid—successful, stable, very much in control.

But underneath that, there was a quiet pull toward something different.

He couldn’t fully explain it, and there wasn’t a clear, logical reason to change anything. Nothing was “wrong.”

But he felt it.

And instead of moving, he found himself circling the same thoughts—questioning it, trying to validate it, waiting for something outside of him to confirm that it was the “right” move.

As we moved through the session, what we really did was start to quiet everything that wasn’t his.

The expectations.

The pressure to be certain.

The need to make it all make sense before taking a step.

And once that settled…

what was left was actually very simple.

It was clear.

He already knew.

This is what I see again and again.

The next step usually isn’t hidden.

It’s just unfamiliar.

And because it doesn’t come with full certainty, the mind tries to keep you where things feel safe—even when you’ve already outgrown that place.

So how do you actually trust it?

You don’t force it.

You don’t overthink it.

And you don’t wait for 100% certainty.

You start by getting honest with yourself.

Instead of asking:

What should I do next?

Try asking:

What do I already know… that I’m not fully trusting yet?

Then give yourself a moment with it.

Close your eyes. Take a breath. Let the question land without rushing to answer it.

Notice what comes up—not the loud, reactive thoughts, but the quieter, steadier feeling underneath.

That’s usually where the truth is.

If you’re in this space right now, there’s nothing wrong with you.

You’re not behind, and you’re not stuck.

You’re at the point where something is ready to shift.

And often, the only thing left…

is trusting yourself enough to move forward.

If you’re in that space and want support seeing it more clearly, I’m here.

You can book a clarity call, join me in session, or come experience this work in my Sacred Soul Sessions.

With love and alignment,

Laura
