You’re Not Stuck — Your Energy Is Just Holding an Old Pattern

So many people come to me saying, “I feel stuck.”
Stuck in a decision.
Stuck in a cycle.
Stuck even though they’re doing “all the right things.”
And I want to gently offer this reframe:
You’re not stuck.
Your energy is simply holding an old pattern.
That’s a very different story — and a much kinder one.

What “Stuck” Really Means (Energetically)
When we say we’re stuck, we often assume something is wrong with us. That we’re blocked, broken, or failing to move forward.
But energetically, what’s usually happening is this:
your system learned something once — a way to protect, cope, succeed, or stay safe — and it’s still running that program, even though your life has evolved.
Patterns form through:
Past experiences or emotional imprints
Long-standing beliefs about safety, worth, or responsibility
Survival strategies that once worked very well
The pattern isn’t wrong.
It’s simply outdated.
Why Patterns Linger Longer Than We Expect
Energy patterns don’t shift through force or willpower. They shift through awareness, safety, and permission.
If a part of your system still believes:
“I need to stay here to stay safe”
“If I move forward, something will be lost”
“This is familiar — even if it’s uncomfortable”
…it will hold the pattern in place until it feels met, seen, and supported.
That’s not resistance.
That’s intelligence.
When Movement Helps Energy Shift
Sometimes insight alone isn’t enough.
The body needs to be included in the conversation.
Kundalini Yoga works directly with the nervous system and energy body, using gentle movement and breath to restore natural flow — without forcing change.
When energy feels stagnant, movement creates permission.
Kundalini Kriya: Moving Stuck Energy (5 Minutes)
This short kriya is designed to gently move energy through the spine and nervous system, helping release stagnation and restore momentum. Move slowly and with awareness.
1. Seated Spinal Flex (1–2 minutes)
Sit cross-legged or on a chair with feet grounded. Hands rest on knees.
Inhale as you arch the spine forward, lifting the chest
Exhale as you round the spine back, drawing the navel in
Continue rhythmically with the breath
This awakens spinal energy and releases mental and emotional holding.
2. Gentle Seated Twists (1 minute)
Keep the spine tall. Hands on shoulders, elbows lifted.
Inhale to center
Exhale twist gently left
Inhale center
Exhale twist right
Twists clear stagnation and reset the nervous system.
3. Fists of Flow (1–2 minutes)
Arms at shoulder height, elbows bent, hands in fists.
Inhale as fists pull back toward ribs
Exhale as fists extend forward
Use long deep breathing, or gentle Breath of Fire if comfortable
This breaks energetic inertia and supports forward movement.
4. Integration & Stillness (1 minute)
Sit quietly, hands on thighs, palms up.
Inhale deeply.
Exhale slowly.
Silently repeat:
“I allow movement without force.
The Moment Things Begin to Shift
Change often begins not when we push harder — but when we soften our relationship with where we are.
When you stop fighting the pattern and start listening to it, something loosens.
Instead of asking:
“What’s wrong with me?”
Try asking:
“What has this pattern been trying to protect or preserve?”
That question alone creates movement.
A Final Reflection
You don’t need to become someone new to move forward.
You simply need to release what no longer matches who you already are.
Patterns dissolve when they’re met with compassion — not pressure.
And often, the moment you stop calling yourself “stuck,”
your energy remembers how to flow again.
