The Energetic Reset: Birthdays, Blossoms, and Bold Intentions

Updated: May 6

As I write this blog on my birthday, it marks not just another year, but the one-year anniversary of a life-altering decision: stepping away from over three decades in corporate leadership. On this day last year, I chose to resign from my role, embracing the unknown to align more closely with my inner truth.

There’s something deeply symbolic about being born in the spring. The Earth itself is in a state of awakening. After months of stillness, the soil softens, the light returns, and life stretches upward again. What was once hidden beneath the surface now bursts into bloom. I feel this rhythm within me too—an inner nudge to rise, renew, and reset.

This season brings a powerful invitation: to reclaim your energy, set bold intentions, and align with your soul’s next chapter.

Whether it’s your birthday or not, this time of year is energetically supportive of fresh starts. It’s the season to shake off what’s no longer serving you—old patterns, limiting beliefs, or simply the heaviness of winter—and plant something new. You don’t have to have it all figured out. Nature doesn’t rush. She unfolds with trust.

Ways to Embrace Spring’s Energy:

1. Start with the Body

Stretch, move, or breathe into places that feel tight. Spring is a time to stir the energy within. A simple walk in nature, a Kundalini kriya, or a few rounds of Sun Salutation (Surya Namaskar) can awaken the body and spirit. This ancient sequence is not only energizing—it’s a physical prayer of gratitude to the sun, a reminder that each morning we rise, we’re given another chance to begin again.

2. Create Space

Clean out your physical space and notice how much lighter your energy becomes. Letting go on the outside helps us release on the inside too.

3. Set Intentions from the Heart

Ask yourself: What am I ready to grow? What lights me up right now? What do I want to give energy to? Let the answers guide your next steps, even if they’re small.

4. Honor Your Own Rhythm

Remember, beginnings don’t always come with fireworks. Sometimes, they whisper. Sometimes, they require rest before the rise. Allow your process to unfold in its perfect timing.

As I begin another trip around the sun, I’m reminded that we are all constantly evolving. Birthdays aren’t just markers of age—they’re energetic milestones. Opportunities to pause, reflect, and choose how we want to live, love, and lead from this moment forward.

So today, I invite you to tune in to your own season of becoming.

Let this be the moment you reset, realign, and remember that every day is a new beginning—just like the sun rising on the horizon. With each dawn, we are gifted a fresh start.

Happy spring. Happy becoming. And if it’s your birthday too—happy new year, soul.

With Love & Light, Laura
