The Power of Slowing Down: Why Rest is a Spiritual Practice

In our fast-paced, always-on world, slowing down can feel almost… rebellious. We’ve been conditioned to equate success with doing more, staying busy, and pushing through exhaustion. But what if true power lies in the pause?
Over the years—both through my own journey and in working with clients—I’ve come to see rest not just as recovery, but as a deeply spiritual and creative practice. That said, I’ll be the first to admit: I have to remind myself to rest. I’m wired to keep moving, to keep creating, to keep doing. And yet, every time I allow myself to pause, I feel the shift. My energy recalibrates. My intuition sharpens. My creativity flows. Rest doesn’t always look like stillness—sometimes, it’s simply space to hear myself again.
Rest Isn’t Laziness—It’s Alignment
When we ignore our body’s signals for rest, we often override our own intuition. Fatigue, tension, and burnout aren’t signs of failure—they’re sacred messages from the body and energy field, asking for recalibration.
As a Clairvoyant Healer and Coach, I often see how the aura becomes overstimulated and fragmented when someone stays in constant output mode. Their nervous system is on overdrive. The light of their intuition dims. But when we allow rest—even brief, intentional rest—the energy body begins to realign.
Rest isn’t just about recovery—it’s about returning to yourself.
And it’s also where creativity lives. Some of my most inspired ideas have emerged not while pushing, but while pausing: during a walk, while lying down in silence, or simply breathing. In that openness, Spirit speaks.
A Gentle Energy Reset: 7-Minute Restorative Practice
Try this short, balancing ritual to clear your energy and settle your mind:
1. Find a quiet space and set a timer for 7 minutes.
2. Sit or lie down comfortably. Place one hand on your heart, the other on your belly.
3. Close your eyes and inhale slowly to a count of 4…
4. Exhale slowly to a count of 4…
5. Continue this balanced breath for a few rounds.
To deepen the reset, mentally chant SA TA NA MA with each breath cycle (a Kundalini mantra that brings the mind into a meditative, regenerative rhythm). This supports your nervous system, quiets mental chatter, and gently brings you back to center.

Rest Isn’t Always Still
I remind my clients often: rest doesn’t have to mean lying down in silence. It can be walking in nature, creating something with your hands, turning off your phone for an hour, or even letting yourself do nothing—without guilt.
In my coaching sessions, we build rest into the structure. I teach tools that help calm the energy body, regulate the nervous system, and reconnect to purpose. Because when we rest, we create space to receive. And from that space, clarity, healing, and transformation can unfold.
💬 Reflection
• Where in your life are you being invited to slow down?
• What resistance comes up when you consider doing less?
• Can you give yourself permission to rest—even if just for 7 minutes?
